Seasonal Depression is really real. Really!
|Doesn’t this just make your skin crawl?
There’s a CITY behind all that snow!
I swear I have seasonal depression. It’s a real thing, people! My skin even hurts when the weather starts to change. Back in high school, I really only applied to colleges far away in places that were sunny because I simply couldn’t take the horrible winters anymore, much to my mother’s chagrin. It’s how I ended up in Arkansas!
Just the thought of the biting cold wind in a stark concrete jungle still gives me the chills.
I have a habit of dropping off in October, getting into the long haul for winter way too soon for the weather in Arkansas. I’m use to the occasional snow storm this month rather than sweating while sitting in my car with the windows down.
This year, I’ve got a plan of attack. I know I’m going feel the urge to hunker down at some point and be completely zapped for energy to do more than reading a book and sipping on a hot cocoa when the nights get dark when I get home from work. So I’m doing a bunch of things this month to get prepared!
October is Rocktober!
For those of you, like me, who had never heard of the 31 days of Change project, I highly encourage you to check it out. It’s not to late to get started! October has 31 days and is the perfect month for projects. It’s just before the holidays, so no holiday stress can interrupt your plans, and it’s long enough to make lasting changes.
So what am I doing this month?
I’m also hosting 30 days to Learn Tourist French here on my blog (in case you haven’t seen the massive button on my sidebar over there –>)
